About Bee Mission

Bee Mission is a CIC on a mission to help bees across the south of England and also to improve the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Bournemouth.

Launched in 2019 by local businessman Chris Bialan, Bee Mission’s first mission is to build and install 500 beehives across the south of England. As primary pollinators, honeybees play a crucial role in plant reproduction and food production. British bee populations are declining rapidly due to pesticides, parasites, disease and habitat loss, and that's why Bee Mission is building beehives and creating habitats for our very important bees.

The second mission is to continue cooking hot, healthy, homemade meals to deliver to the people living on the streets in Bournemouth, Dorset, which the Bee Mission team have been doing since 2019. Led by Amy Foster, the Bee Mission team deliver up to 50 meals, three times a week, every week which equates to a staggering 31,200 meals per year!

The profits made from selling Bee Mission honey goes straight back into the CIC to fund new hives, beekeeping equipment, and food for the hot meals.
